Senior Telephony Engineer

Senior Telephony Engineer: About the Role

As part of the wider IT Technical Services team, you will work within the Network Infrastructure team as a technical subject matter expert in all things related to telephony. You will play a key role in developing telephone systems to support the business and deliver efficient and cost effective solutions. You would be responsible for supporting, administering and maintaining the company’s telephone systems on a day-to-day basis, and would work both reactively and proactively to solve and prevent telephony and network incidents and problems.

Senior Telephone Engineer: Key Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in supporting telephony / networks / telecoms
  • Subject matter expert in Cisco Unified Communications (Cisco CCNP Voice qualification)
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to produce bespoke solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to act as a mentor to junior members of the team
  • Experience of working in a DevOps / Agile environment
  • ITIL foundation level qualification is desirable but not essential.
